Founded
CAD Signs is founded by 21-year-old Alex Galeano, a Colombian immigrant with humble beginnings and a solid vision for his company. Alex acquires an old boom truck and some equipment, rents a 1,500-square-foot shop in Union City, NJ, and starts building signs.

2006
A New Place
CAD Signs gets connected with more national sign companies, expands its service and installation work, and moves to a 2,500-square-foot shop in North Bergen, NJ.







2007
47 AT&T Stores
CAD Signs lands its first multi-store project to re-brand 47 AT&T stores in NYC. Ivan Navarro joins the team as an apprentice installer, along with other great installers – many of whom are still working at CAD Signs today.

2010
20 Employees
CAD Signs survives the 2008 economic crash and takes advantage of resulting real estate opportunities, purchasing its first 7,500-square-foot building in Hackensack, NJ. The company has grown to 20 full-time employee and 10 trucks.

Hackensack, NJ
CAD Signs moves to its new headquarters in Hackensack, NJ. Alex hires a NYC- licensed sign hanger, becoming one of the few non-union licensed sign shops working in the city. The company starts expanding its NYC footprint, attracting national sign companies looking for an affordable and reliable alternative to union sign shops.

The company starts expanding its NYC footprint, attracting national sign companies looking for an affordable and reliable alternative to union sign shops.





2015
Need More Space
Now 10 years old, the business continues growing rapidly and needs more space. When the warehouse next door becomes available, CAD Signs purchases it and expands, adding 7,500-square-feet for a fabrication and logistics warehouse plus two additional parking lots.







2018

Alex Galeano becomes NYC-licensed special sign hanger #233. The company has expanded to 40+ employees and serves many national companies, completing large projects for Children’s Place, Whole Foods, Palisades Center shopping mall, and more.
